Comprehensive Reporting by Assessment Type

Episode Master reports are clear and concise. They are designed and proven to help you improve your internal audits and increase your standard of care. Episode Master reports can be run at any time during an episode. You can upload data and view reports as many times as you want. In fact, many agencies access Episode Master several times a day in their normal office procedures. You have the option of viewing the reports online or saving them to your computer as a Microsoft Word document that can be printed and shared throughout your agency.

To compliment your existing processes the reports are centered on assessment types. The data contained in an individual report will vary based on the type of assessment in review.

The reports are designed for ease of use. While the information changes depending on the assessment type, there are six sections that are common to all reports. This consistency in the layout of the reports allows your staff to quickly scan successive reports, easily noting any change. It makes Episode Master easy to use and helps make Episode Master easy to train. Let’s take a look at the six sections that are in each report.

section01Patient and Assessment Identification

You can clearly identify who was assessed, when the assessment was made and by whom. In addition, the reports for recertification, ROC and discharge assessments also indicate who performed the previous assessment.

section02Graphical HIPPS Scoring and Payment Section

This section is the pulse of the Episode Master report. It clearly summarizes how accurate and profitable your current scores are and then compares them to what they could be should suggested edits be made. Current HIPPS scores are identified, and if applicable, compared to previous assessment scores. Points scored for each dimension as well as scoring potential are graphically indicated also.

section03HIPPS Analysis

HIPPS questions, responses and allotted points for the current assessment are identified. If applicable, responses to prior assessments are shown along with the identification of increased or decreased point values when compared to the current assessment.

section04Order Information

Pulled directly from the system, any medications that are in use are shown here. If a class of medication is listed, Episode Master checks assessment questions that are related to the type of medication. This information is used in recommended edits should use or non-use of the medication be questionable.
